We are looking for an inspiring and ambitious Geography Subject Leader to join a thriving, inclusive school for a 1‑year maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Geography teacher to lead the department, inspire students across KS3–KS5, and make a real impact on learning, teaching and outcomes.
The Role:Geography Subject Leader – Kingston upon Thames
As Subject Lead of Geography, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating, and supporting a dedicated team of Geography teachers.
- Driving excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment across the Geography department.
- Monitoring student progress and attainment through high expectations, data‑driven strategies, and targeted interventions.
- Keeping the Geography curriculum engaging, ambitious, and responsive to national developments.
- Inspiring students of all abilities to achieve their full potential and develop a passion for Geography.
- Organising enrichment activities, trips, and extra‑curricular opportunities to broaden student's horizons.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Geography teacher looking to step into a leadership role, or for a Geography Subject Leader with previous departmental management experience.

The successful candidate will be:
