Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional, Elementary School
About the Role
We are looking for an excellent Maths teacher who is excited to contribute to a high-impact, academically ambitious department. Maths is one of the cornerstones of our transformational curriculum. Because KSA is an all-through school with high levels of attainment in our primary pupils, almost all of whom attend Secondary, we can build on the Maths Mastery curriculum in Key Stage 3, pushing high prior attainers to excel and supporting low prior attainers to make rapid progress.
We are the founding home of Times Tables Rock Stars and one of the originators and long-term proponents of mixed attainment Key Stage 3 Maths teaching. Our A Level courses are passionately studied by a group of committed Sixth Form students who are currently on track for very high grades. We are open to teachers with experience of and interest in 6th Form teaching both in maths and in further maths.
- Experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment
- Experience of leadership (desirable but not necessary)

We are a genuine all-through school, with pupils staying with us from nursery to sixth form across two sites ten minutes apart. Because of this, we have a unique opportunity to have a long-term and dramatic impact on our pupils' lives. This all starts in our primary school, where pupils develop and grow a love of learning. We have a strong track record as a school in making a significant impact on our pupils' lives.
We adopt a mastery approach in primary, meaning pupils have more time and explicit teaching of the skills and concepts that underpin long-term success in academics, enriched by a varied and culturally enhancing curriculum that inspires and engages them. Our specialist teaching model allows pupils to benefit from expert teaching in PE, music, art, humanities and science, and means all staff have time to plan each subject properly.
In September 2019 we merged with Ark Paddington Green Academy and formed King Solomon Academy with Nursery‑Year 4 on our Younger Years Site (Crompton Street) and Year 5‑13 on the Older Years Site (Penfold Street). In May 2021 we opened a purpose‑built nursery for 2‑4 year olds.
We aim to build a diverse and inclusive organisation where everyone – staff and students – can do their best work and achieve their full potential. We want to reflect and represent diverse perspectives across our organisation because we know that doing so will make us stronger and more effective.
