Learning Support Assistant – West End Primary School

Contract – Part Time and Full Time Available

Start date – January 2026

• Experience supporting children in a primary school or similar educational environment.
• A patient, positive, and empathetic manner, with a genuine passion for children’s learning and wellbeing.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build warm, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet a range of learning needs and classroom situations.
• A proactive, reliable attitude and a desire to make a difference every day.
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (advantageous but not essential).

• Provide effective 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional or special educational needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
• Assist with preparing resources and maintaining a positive, stimulating classroom environment.
• Promote confidence, independence, and positive behaviour among all learners.
• Contribute to a nurturing school community where every child feels valued and supported.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
