TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils across Wellingborough
.
We are looking for tutors with experience teaching Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, and SEND learners. Tuition takes place in pupils' homes, schools, or community settings during school hours (Monday to Friday).
This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver tailored 1:1 support that helps pupils build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, develop key skills, and achieve meaningful academic progress.
PayCompetitive pay, depending on experience, qualifications, the pupil's needs, and the tuition assignment.
Working Pattern- Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
- Tuition delivered during school hours (Monday to Friday)
- Long-term and ongoing tuition assignments available
- Travel to pupils' homes, schools, and community venues across Wellingborough is required
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
- Teach pupils across a range of age groups and abilities, including Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, and SEND.
- Plan and deliver lessons appropriate to each pupil's curriculum and learning needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
- Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, Local Authorities, and partner organisations.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, resilience, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- A minimum of two years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience teaching one or more of the following:
Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, SEND - Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, dyslexia, and speech and language needs.
- Experience delivering tuition in pupils' homes, schools, community settings, or alternative provision.
- Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
