Reporting to the Senior Training and Development Officer, this role is responsible for strengthening community development and health through the design and delivery of innovative learning programmes. The role supports the promotion of community development approaches to tackling health inequalities and the social determinants of health. Working as part of a team to produce learning resources and new training programmes that are accessible, impactful and responsive to the needs of members, partners and communities.
A key priority will be the development and coordination of CDHN's digital learning and resource hub, in line with our organisational strategy 2025-30.
Key Responsibilities 1. Training and Learning Design and Delivery- Work with colleagues, members, and partner organisations to identify training needs
- Co-create relevant and engaging digital content for our community development and health equity programmes combining e-learning with online and in-person options
- Co-facilitate engaging webinars (using platforms such as Zoom or MS Teams) and in-person training
- Co-develop session plans, and create effective training guides and supporting materials, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for participants and learners
- Set up, schedule and promote training, learning and development opportunities and resources through newsletters, social media, and events
- Capture participant, registration, attendance and engagement and track learner progress using the organisation’s training and events platform
- Work with colleagues and subject experts to identify, review, categorize and upload high-quality materials such as guides, case studies, toolkits, and templates and incorporate into new training content
- Co‑coordinate and maintain well‑organised and searchable content to include version management to ensure easy public access
- Provide instruction for a diverse range of members, including those with limited digital confidence, on how to navigate the resource hub to access materials
- Monitor and analyse data on training participation and resource hub usage to demonstrate reach, progress and impact
- Collect user feedback and prepare and summarise reports for your line manager and contribute to organisational learning processes
- Keep up to date with trends in digital learning, knowledge sharing, and community development practice for healthy communities.
- Contribute to team meetings to support the development, delivery and monitoring of annual work plans and the organisational strategy. Act in accordance with the agreed values, aims and objectives of the organisation.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by CDHN.
