The HomeArdmaine Care Home is warm and loving, located near the centre of the city of Newry. It has two units – General Nursing and Dementia Nursing. Ardmaine Care Home provides care for older people as well as those with Dementia, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Cancer, End of Life Care, Respite, Stroke, Epilepsy, Visual Impairment and Challenging Behaviours.
Responsibilities- Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
- Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.

- Previous catering, kitchen or food preparation experience
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment
