Location: Newry, Northern Ireland (Office-based)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent – Monday to Friday

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in line with UK employment law and company objectives.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, providing practical and professional guidance.
  • Support managers with employee relations issues including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, and performance processes.
Recruitment & Talent Development
  • Lead recruitment activities across the business, working with hiring managers to define role requirements and attract suitable candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews, offers, contracts, and onboarding processes.
  • Support workforce planning and succession planning aligned with company growth.
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate internal and external training programmes.
Compliance & HR Governance
  • Ensure full compliance with UK employment legislation, GDPR, and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support compliance with ISO standards and audits where HR documentation and training records are required.
  • Monitor changes in employment law and recommend updates to company policies and practices.
Payroll, Benefits & HR Administration
  • Liaise with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Manage employee benefits administration including private health insurance, life insurance, and pensions.
  • Support annual salary reviews, bonus schemes, and commission structures in coordination with management.
  • Oversee HR reporting, metrics, and people data to support management decision-making.
Workplace Culture & Process Improvement
  • Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with EPAS values and business objectives.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes.
  • Advise leadership on organisational development and people strategy as the company expands internationally.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and efficiency.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist, preferably within a growing or international organisation.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling employee relations cases with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior management and operational teams.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above).
  • Experience supporting multi-site or international teams.
  • Exposure to ISO standards or regulated environments.
