HR Business Partner

HR Business Partner We are working with an established employer to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to join the HR team in Newry. This is a permanent role with an excellent salary, benefits package and bonus structure. The HR Business Partner will drive HR initiatives that align with business objectives, partnering with leadership to shape and deliver people strategies in a fast-paced, high-achieving environment.

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for:
Maintaining accurate employee records, HR systems and people data, while producing reports and dashboards. Analysing key people metrics including headcount, turnover, absence, recruitment, agency usage and retention to identify trends and actions. Building strong relationships with managers and operational leaders, providing practical HR advice and constructive challenge. Managing and supporting employee relations cases, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, probation, performance and flexible working matters.

Coaching managers through investigations, formal processes, performance and development conversations. Supporting recruitment and workforce planning, helping reduce agency dependency and improve attraction, onboarding and retention. Developing manager capability and accountability across performance, attendance, employee development and people management. Supporting talent management, succession planning and career development, including early-career and apprenticeship programmes. Contributing to employee engagement, culture and retention initiatives, ensuring HR remains visible and accessible across the operation.

Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement, including organisational change, policy, systems and process improvements. What you will need to have for the HR Business Partner role:
Minimum 3 years broad generalist HR experience in a fast-paced FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment Proven experience in employee relations, employment law and HR best practice Experience using HR systems and people data to support decision-making Confident advising line managers and providing practical, commercially focused solutions Strong problem-solving, organisation and communication skills CIPD qualified or working towards qualification is desirable
