The Performance & Growth Insights Manager will be responsible for providing market intelligence to understand Primark’s performance within a competitive context. The purpose of the role is to interpret consumer behaviour within the market landscape to guide Primark’s growth and transformation initiatives.

What You’llDo as Performance & Growth Insights Manager:

In your role,you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets.

Here’sa flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Lead customer & market performance measurement by designing KPI frameworks and scorecards that align Strategy, Finance and Leadership around a single, consistent view of Primark’s impact and competitive position.
  • Integrate consumer insight with market intelligence—combining brand tracking, CX metrics and syndicated sources (e.g., World panel, Global Data, GWI)—into automated dashboards and reporting that enable real‑time decision-making.
  • Build market and competitive fact‑packs for priority countries, synthesising customer behaviours, brand performance, value perceptions and market indicators to guide local strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Own holistic value & price perception measurement, leading a multi‑market programme that links value perception to pricing, brand health and customer experience to inform strategic pricing decisions.
  • Create automated, tech‑enabled reporting solutions in partnership with Data/Tech teams, reducing manual reporting and promoting the adoption of Tableau/BI, data pipelines and AI-assisted analytics.
  • Translate data into simple strategic narratives, producing clear insight-driven stories, growth playbooks and performance commentary that highlight opportunities, risks and “how we win with customers”.
  • Drive measurement standards and capability building, defining KPI glossaries, coaching analysts on insight storytelling, and championing best practices in automation, dashboard usage and analytical rigor.
  • Shape Primark’s market understanding, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of retail trends, competitive moves and market dynamics to identify opportunities, threats and long-range implications for growth.

We want every person in our organisation to feel likethey’remaking a key contribution. Here are some of the experiences and skillsyou’llneed for the role:

  • 7–10 years’ experience in consumer insights, customer analytics or market research, ideally within retail, ecommerce or CPG, with a strong track record influencing commercial decisions.
  • Expert in integrating syndicated data with primary research, with hands‑on experience using sources such as Kantar/World panel, Global Data, GWI, Nielsen and similar market intelligence providers.
  • Proven ability to design measurement frameworks, KPIs and dashboards that support strategic, investment and growth initiatives, partnering closely with Strategy, Finance and senior leaders.
  • Highly tech‑savvy, with advanced analytical and dashboarding skills—proficient in Tableau and Excel, comfortable with automation, and curious about experimenting with AI‑enabled analytics tools.
  • Exceptional data storyteller and strategic thinker, capable of turning complex datasets into clear, business-oriented narratives, confidently engaging and challenging senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative leader with international experience, able to manage cross-market insight programmes, build strong agency partnerships, and balance system-building with hands‑on analysis.
