We are hiring for our client, a successful and growing manufacturing business in Newry, who are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Supervisor to lead their engineering function. This Maintenance Supervisor job offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a leadership role, or for an established Maintenance Supervisor seeking a new challenge. The successful Maintenance Supervisor will manage a team of engineers, drive maintenance performance, and help ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing operations.
Working on a Monday to Friday dayshift pattern, this role offers an excellent work-life balance alongside genuine career progression opportunities.
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of maintenance engineers
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance activities
- Manage reactive maintenance and minimise production downtime
- Support continuous improvement and engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Work closely with production teams to maximise plant efficiency
- Support training and development within the engineering team
- Previous experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Experience leading or supervising engineering teams
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance background
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Relevant engineering qualification desirable
- £55,000-£60,000 DOE
