Electrical Maintenance Engineer

A well-established food manufacturing company in the Newry area is seeking a proactive and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, supporting the production of high-quality food products for both national and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs on a range of production equipment including conveyors, forming machines, refrigeration units, and packaging systems Diagnose electrical faults and perform effective repairs to minimise downtime Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with equipment upgrades Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and food hygiene standards Update maintenance logs and work orders using a CMMS system Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain optimal line performance Required

Skills & Experience:

Time-served Electrician or Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred Strong fault-finding and PLC experience Ability to read electrical schematics and work independently Awareness of HACCP and food safety compliance is an advantage In return for a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and more!!
