Production Manager

Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business to recruit a Production Manager for their site in Kilkeel, Co. Down.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful seafood processing business supplying high-quality products to customers across global markets. With continued growth and investment, the business is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead its production operations and play a key role in driving operational performance.

The Role

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the production facility, ensuring production targets, quality standards and operational efficiencies are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily production operations and ensuring production plans are delivered efficiently
• Coordinating production schedules across multiple product lines
• Leading, motivating and developing production teams
• Monitoring plant throughput and driving productivity across the operation
• Ensuring products are manufactured safely, on time and to the required quality standards
• Managing inventory levels to support efficient production and supply chain performance
• Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures in line with food industry standards
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes and operational performance
• Monitoring production KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Promoting a positive food safety culture and ensuring compliance with HACCP requirements

What you'll need

• Previous experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role within food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing systems and KPI management
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and people management abilities
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead and manage changing production priorities
