Were Hiring! Manufacturing Operative DESCRIPTION T&T Distributors is a leading wholesale supplier of stoves, fireplaces and fireplace products throughout Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

We are a family run business and have been supplying the industry for more than 45 years. We manufacture decorative tiled panels for around wood burning stoves. Due to the popularity and rapid increase in demand for the product we are seeking to expand our team.

The Role Our Manufacturing Operative will work as part of a team who are essential for creating high quality, consistent and robust wood burning stove chambers. The Manufacturing Operative will be given full process training and report into the Manufacturing Lead.

Core responsibilities:

Sticking and grouting ceramic and stone tiles Operating cutting machinery safely Packaging the product to ensure safe delivery Manufacturing both standard-sized and made-to-measure panels. Ensuring manufacturing area is kept clean and tidy The hours are Monday to Friday, 08:15 17:30. (Finishing at 12:15 one day per week). There is a degree of flexibility to the hours.

The Person The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Operative role would meet the following criteria:
Attention to detail to ensure consistent high quality Ability to learn quickly and a positive attitude Practically minded and ability to apply these skills to manufacturing A proactive attitude towards identifying and implementing ways to enhance processes and quality Ability to operative machinery safely Ability to work on own initiative and apply problem solving skills Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Previous manufacturing experience in a similar role or an interest in tiling would be beneficial Full training will be given, as no specific process knowledge is assumed.

What's on offer? The successful candidate can expect an hourly rate of £13.30 (£27,047/annum) 5% on target bonus and workplace pension.
