The Role:

The purpose of this role is to support the day-to-day despatch and operational activities across DELI LITES Ireland, ensuring customer orders are prepared, checked, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

As a Despatch Team Member, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, hygiene, and operational efficiency while supporting the wider production and despatch teams to meet customer requirements and business needs.

You will uphold the quality, legality, and authenticity values of DELI LITES and contribute to delivering exceptional products through teamwork, attention to detail, and a passion for people and food.

Your Duties:

  • Pick and prepare customer orders quickly and correctly
  • Pack and send products according to company and customer requirements
  • Check products, packaging, and labels before sending them out
  • Follow all hygiene, food safety, quality, and health & safety rules
  • Receive and store stock correctly
  • Complete delivery and stock paperwork accurately
  • Make sure all products received meet company standards
  • Help with stock checks and rotate stock correctly using “first in, first out” (FIFO)
  • Ensure all items are labelled and stored properly
  • Keep the work area clean, tidy, and safe at all times
  • Report damaged products or any issues to the Quality team or Supervisor
  • Print and check labels to make sure information and dates are correct
  • Help other departments when needed
  • Report equipment, production, or safety problems to management
  • Use equipment correctly and work in a way that reduces waste
  • Follow company safety procedures and risk assessments
  • Complete all training required for the role
  • Maintain good personal hygiene standards
  • Support cleaning and housekeeping duties across the work area.

  • Basic understanding of label verification and traceability processes
