Are you passionate about Men’s Health and Wellbeing? Groundwork Northern Ireland is looking for an energised, commercially minded individual to help transform the Men’s Shed network into a thriving, long-term resource that offer opportunities for over 120 Men’s Sheds.
This isn’t a standard desk job. You will split your time between development and high-impact fieldwork—from urban hubs to rural heartlands. Your priorities will build on our pillars:
Strategic Funding, Corporate Partnerships, Income generation,and Excellence in Project Delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure the Future:
Drive the financial and strategic security of the network by identifying and winning high-value opportunities with corporate donors, trusts, and government partners. - Build the Movement:
Work alongside the Community & Wellbeing Manager to scale the support team and deepen relationships with thepublic and voluntary sector as well as theUKandIrish Men’s Sheds Networks. - Innovate & Expand:
Elevate our digital presence and resources, providing the advice and guidance that allows new and existing Sheds to flourish. - Be the Face of Growth:
Actively engage in outreach, bringing new initiatives to life and ensuring our “Shed proposition” remains first-class.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Motivated and experienced in grant funding /income generation.
- A natural communicator who builds relationships with ease.
- Passionate about men’s health and wellbeing.
Established in 1991, Groundwork Northern Ireland is a charity that is passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood isvibrant and green, every community isstrongand able toshape its own destinyandno-one is held backby their background or circumstances.
We help people gain skills, get into training and work; we work with communities to protect and improve green spaces; lead more active lives and overcome significant challenges such as poverty, isolation, low skills and poor health.
We have distributed over £6 million in grants to community projects; provided nearly 100 beacons for community celebrations; supported 96 Men’s Sheds across NI and transformed unloved spaces into Meanwhile Gardens.
