Steel Lintels Ireland was formed in 2012 by Barney McConville. An engineering graduate, Barney worked in the lintel industry before establishing Steel Lintels Ireland.

It was identified that the Irish Lintel market had the need for a lintel stockist with the ability to design and manufacture a special product. Steel Lintels Ireland’s primary focus is the supply of a quality product, in a time frame that suits the Irish builder.

We are the sole importer of Catnic Lintels in Ireland and stock a wide range of standard Catnic product. Itemised schedules are produced, listing a lintel for each individual opening. Designed in-house by our engineers, we manufacture the special lintels in our Co. Down factory.

Due to expansion and growth, we are now seeking an experienced field sales executive to cover ROI sales.

Job Purpose
  • Generating sales leads, growing the business in ROI, developing and creating a strong pipeline with clients
  • Developing an understanding of the business and its current and prospective products and services
  • Delivering Sales and Business Development for existing and new Clients of Steels Lintels
  • Establishing robust sales development processes and sales leads for the business
  • Maintaining all aspects of Sales in ROI for Steels Lintels with respect to new and existing clients
  • Developing and delivering sales presentations or meetings. Attendance at conferences, buyer events, sales conventions, etc.
  • Complying with all internal and external processes and quality systems relevant to the role
  • Performing any other duties as may be reasonably required from time-to-time.
Qualifications and desirable criteria
  • To have worked in a similar industry or have knowledge and background in Construction, Builders Merchants and/or Engineering
  • Essential to have the ability to price jobs
  • Effective relationship management experience, evidence of sales and winnable contracts in the past
  • Have the drive and energy to seek new leads
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team, a team player is essential.
  • Be accountable, reliable and hands-on
Special Factors
  • Evidence of previous winnable sales and experience in Business Development, showing the ability to drive and conduct field sales
  • At least 4 – 5 years’ experience as a field sales executive in the industry
  • Professional attitude, excellent customer service and attention to detail are necessary
  • Targets to be discussed at the pre-Interview stage
