Due to continued growth, we are delighted to recruit for a Trade Counter Sales professional to join our team at our Newry branch
. This opportunity is ideally suited to a sales-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and is motivated to drive sales performance.
As a Trade Counter Sales professional, you will play a key role in maximising sales opportunities while delivering an exceptional customer experience to both trade and retail customers. This is a customer-facing, target-driven role where your ability to engage, upsell, and build rapport will directly contribute to branch performance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all retail and trade counter enquiries in a professional, sales-focused manner
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and maximise sales at every interaction
- Provide expert product advice and support customers with tailored solutions
- Process sales transactions, including cash handling and operating computerised stock and ordering systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
- Maintain consistently high standards of customer service and presentation
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role (trade counter or building supplies experience desirable)
- A strong sales mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving revenue
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting customer relationships
- A proactive, energetic, and results-driven approach
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of, or interest in, building materials, timber, and hardware
