The Role As a Trade Counter Sales professional, you will play a key role in maximising sales opportunities while delivering an exceptional customer experience to both trade and retail customers. This is a customer-facing, target-driven role where your ability to engage, upsell, and build rapport will directly contribute to branch performance.

Key Responsibilities Manage all retail and trade counter enquiries in a professional, sales-focused manner Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and maximise sales at every interaction Provide expert product advice and support customers with tailored solutions Process sales transactions, including cash handling and operating computerised stock and ordering systems Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business Maintain consistently high standards of customer service and presentation What We're Looking For The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role (trade counter or building supplies experience desirable) A strong sales mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving revenue Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting customer relationships A proactive, energetic, and results-driven approach The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of, or interest in, building materials, timber, and hardware
