HGV Driver - Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Driver Excel Recruitment are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver for our client based in the Newry area. Responsibilities As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers, while providing a professional and friendly service.

Key responsibilities include:

Safely operating a Class 1 HGV vehicle Loading and unloading goods, including cages and pallets Ensuring loads are secure and all relevant paperwork is completed Planning routes and ensuring deliveries arrive on time Checking goods and obtaining customer signatures Maintaining the security, cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle Communicating any delivery or vehicle issues to the relevant manager Providing excellent customer service and representing the business professionally Working safely and following all relevant Health & Safety procedures Requirements Clean HGV Class 1 licence Valid Digital Tachograph Card Valid Driver CPC Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience Good knowledge of the North and South of Ireland road network Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible and positive approach to work Strong planning and organisational skills Customer-focused attitude Ability to work well under pressure Willingness to undertake training

The role involves manual handling and working around normal warehouse environments.
