HGV Driver - Class 2 Driver

Class 2 Driver Excel Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver for our client based in the Newry area. Responsibilities As a Class 2 Driver, you will play an important role in ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time, while providing a professional, friendly and reliable service to customers.

Safely operating a Class 2 HGV vehicle Ensuring loads are secure and all relevant paperwork is completed accurately Planning routes effectively and ensuring deliveries arrive on time Checking goods and obtaining customer signatures where required Maintaining the security, cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle Reporting any delivery or vehicle issues to the relevant manager Providing excellent customer service and representing the business in a professional manner Working safely and complying with all relevant Health & Safety procedures Requirements Clean HGV Class 2 licence Valid Digital Tachograph Card Valid Driver CPC Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience Good knowledge of the North and South of Ireland road network Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible, positive and professional approach to work Strong planning and organisational skills Customer-focused attitude Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure Willingness to undertake any required training Benefits £15.57 per hour 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday Overtime paid at 1.5x 2 x tax-free bonuses per year (after 6 months' employment) Pension Life Assurance - 4 x salary 31 days annual leave, increasing with length of service Birthday Leave Health Care Cash Plan Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Discounted Shopping Card Cycle to Work Scheme Referral Bonus Why Join Us?
