The Role Gen Tech Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Stock Controller to join a busy and well-established operation based in Newry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background instock control, inventory management or warehouse operations who is confident managing stock accuracy and ensuring materials are available when required.

Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate stock and inventory records. Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or discrepancies. Carry out regular stock counts, cycle counts and stock checks. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies. Process stock movements accurately on the company system. Check and record incoming goods. Ensure stock is correctly located and stored. Monitor stock replenishment and availability. Liaise with warehouse, purchasing and operational teams.

Maintain accurate paperwork and system records. Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy and processes. Ensure stock control procedures are followed at all times. Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping. Essential Requirements Previous Stock Controller / Inventory Controller experience is essential. Strong experience within a warehouse, distribution or similar environment. Experience completing stock counts and investigating discrepancies. Confident using stock/inventory management systems.

Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Good organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work accurately in a busy environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience withinbuilding materials, construction supplies, timber, plumbing/heating or a builders' merchant environment. Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
