This is an entry level position designed to give you a structured and supported introduction to the world of accounting. As an apprentice at Root2

Growth, you will work alongside experienced members of the team, picking up practical skills in a real practice environment while studying towards your AAT Level 2 qualification.

• Assist with the preparation of bookkeeping records for clients.
• Process and reconcile financial transactions.
• Support the team with data entry and the maintenance of client records.
• Learn to use accounting software under the guidance of senior team members.
• Handle general administrative tasks that keep the practice running smoothly.

This is a full time role, typically working Monday to Friday during normal office hours. Specific hours will be confirmed at offer stage.

To be confirmed, in line with the National Minimum Wage for apprentices and reviewed as you progress through your qualification.

We are looking for someone who shows up, pays attention, and genuinely wants to do a good job. If you are curious, dependable, and willing to work hard, we want to hear from you. Prior knowledge of accounting is not expected or required.

The Basics

To qualify for the AAT Level 2 apprenticeship programme, you will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths. You must also be aged 16 or over, have the right to work in the UK, and not be in full-time education at the time of starting.

If you meet those criteria, the rest is about you as a person.
