Salary: £12,330.42 per session, per annum

Hours:

5 sessions per week – Mon 2x, Thurs 2x, Fri 1x

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality clinical care to the patients registered and attending the GP surgery, working closely with the clinical leads and local practice team to support the delivery of the surgery’s operational plan.
  • Maintain qualifications within the practice, ensuring participation in clinical governance activity and contributing to the improvement in quality health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework, and helping the practice achieve other quality standards including CQC standards.
  • Provide clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with the total triage model. This will include consultation sessions (both in person and by video), telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews, prescription signing and other clinical administration, safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on‑call (excluding out of hours).
  • Adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and put individual patient care as your priority.
  • Work with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan – including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Current registration with GMC and the NHS roster list and engaged in regular clinical work.
  • An experienced doctor with GP accreditation – MRCGP examination or equivalent experience.
  • Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient‑focused services.
  • Sound knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and use of appropriate coding.
  • Ideally have a working knowledge of clinical systems such as Systm One or EMISweb.
