Scope and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to staff and students, ensuring that all High Needs Students have full access to the curriculum, achieve success in their study programmes, and actively participate in college life. This role reflects recent Government and Ofsted changes, recognising the increased levels of support required by High Needs Students.

Each student’s support needs and outcomes are detailed within their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and as a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a central role in helping them meet these needs and statutory outcomes. The position is primarily based at our Newton Abbot campus; however, there may be occasions when you will be required to provide support at our main campus in Paignton.
