SEN Teaching Assistant

Fixed-term support post at Ilsington Church of England Primary School, funded through an EHCP for one pupil in Key Stage 2 with special educational needs. The role centres on individual, sensitive support for that child in school. It runs three days a week during term time, with Monday, Wednesday and Thursday preferred but flexible for the successful candidate. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Give specific support to a KS2 pupil with special educational needs, funded through an EHCP

• GCSE A-C or equivalent in literacy and numeracy

• Enhanced DBS disclosure
• Social media online check

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

• Sensitive, nurturing approach to children's needs
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
• Excellent English and Maths skills
• Willing to work as part of a team, with a good sense of humour
• Able to use own initiative when required
• Experience in a similar role in a school
• Prior knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs
