Market Risk Reporting Consultant

Description Main Purpose of Role We are looking for an experienced Market Risk Consultant to support the development and enhancement of Market Risk reporting within a large-scale risk and regulatory transformation programme. The consultant will work with Market Risk stakeholders to understand current reporting, identify required changes and support the delivery of reporting enhancements. The role requires strong Market Risk subject-matter knowledge combined with practical reporting and change experience.

Key Responsibilities Support the review and enhancement of Market Risk reporting. Assess existing reporting requirements and identify areas requiring change or improvement. Gather and document requirements from Market Risk stakeholders. Analyse existing reports, data requirements and reporting processes. Support the development of new or enhanced Market Risk reports. Ensure reporting requirements are clearly documented throughout delivery. Assess relevant regulatory changes and their implications for Market Risk reporting.

Perform reporting gap and impact analysis where required. Work across Risk, Change and relevant Data/Technology stakeholders. Support testing and validation of reporting enhancements. Produce clear requirements, documentation and supporting analysis. Skills and Experience Essential Strong Market Risk experience within banking or capital markets. Hands-on experience with Market Risk reporting. Strong understanding of Market Risk concepts, measures and reporting processes. Experience gathering and documenting reporting requirements.

Experience developing or delivering changes to Market Risk reporting. Strong analytical skills. Experience working with senior Market Risk stakeholders. Ability to operate effectively across Risk, Change and Data/Technology teams. Desirable European regulatory-change experience affecting Market Risk. FRTB experience. Experience performing regulatory or reporting gap and impact analysis. Previous risk-transformation experience.

Experience with in a major investment bank or capital-markets environment. Understanding of the interaction between Market Risk, regulatory reporting and wider Enterprise Risk reporting. Personal Requirements Strong analytical and quantitative mindset. Excellent attention to detail. Hands-on approach to delivery. Strong stakeholder-management skills. Comfortable working across Risk and technical teams. Ability to translate complex risk requirements into reporting changes.
