Technical Support Officer needed in Newton Abbot, £14.36ph

To provide technical and administrative support to the Licensing Team by:

• Validating, assessing and progressing applications by following procedures
• Maintaining complete regulatory records and escalating complex or contentious matters to Licensing Officers or Commercial Manager.

• Assist the Licensing Officer(s) to validate licensing applications and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with legislative and procedural requirements, progressing cases within statutory and service deadlines.
• Undertake compliance checks of licensing drivers and vehicles as requested by the Licensing Officers e.g. DBS, Medical etc
• Assist the Licensing Officer(s) when requested, to provide clear and accurate technical and procedural advice to applicants, licence holders, drivers, businesses, members of the public and colleagues, resolving routine enquiries and referring complex, sensitive or contentious matters to the appropriate officer.
• Maintain complete and accurate electronic case files, audit trails, registers and correspondence, including drafting licences and standard communications and recording fees in accordance with the Financial Regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with data-protection, information-governance and records-retention requirements.
• Support data-cleansing, digitisation and system-migration work when required.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
