We're working with a well-established organisation that is looking to appoint a HR Administrator to join its friendly and supportive HR team on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has high staff retention and thus rarely recruits, making it an excellent chance to gain valuable experience within a professional HR environment.

This role would suit someone with previous HR experience, a strong administrative background, or an individual who has recently completed a CIPD qualification and is looking to build their career within HR. You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the HR function, ensuring employees receive a positive experience and that HR records and processes are maintained accurately.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Processing new starter and leaver administration.
  • Coordinating right-to-work checks and onboarding documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Supporting training administration and updating training records.
  • Organising occupational health appointments and tracking expiry dates.
  • Issuing welcome packs, probation reminders and employee communications.
  • Processing internal employee movements, including promotions and transfers.
  • Managing employment reference requests.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR-related queries.
  • Supporting the wider HR team with ad hoc administration and projects.
What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience within HR or a strong administrative background.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage confidential information professionally.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to support a busy team.
  • Experience using HR systems (desirable)
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification, or currently studying towards one (desirable)
