What will I be doing?
Working at our Newton Abbot site, one of our specialty production sites, you will undertake a range of tasks including handling product, controlling equipment, ensuring Health & Safety measures are followed, carrying out quality checks and setting machines up for different products.
As part of our growing team, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills and advance your career within our operational areas of Processing, Production, Packing and Material Handling.
Skilled Operators - £14.05 per hour. You will use machinery, equipment and tools or Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) to complete tasks as a team member. We have clearly defined career pathways and are committed to developing from within. The ideal candidate will be happy working in a fast‑paced production environment and have a ‘can‑do’ attitude and strong work ethic. Training will be provided as appropriate, although experience in a fast‑paced industry such as food manufacturing is an advantage.
- Pack product into trays which are labelled on line
- Clear out lines and complete wash‑outs at the end of each production run
- Dismantle and set up machines for the next shift
- Maintain good maintenance and hygiene practices
- Adhere to good Health & Safety practices
- Carry out quality checks
- Arrange the work area, ensuring all tasks are rotated
- Check temperature of chilled product
- Use Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE)
