Trago Mills (Newton Abbot) – Kitchen Sales Designer. Conveniently located just off the A38 between Plymouth and Exeter, our Newton Abbot store covers over 18,500 square meters and houses more than 180,000 home and leisure products.
Job DescriptionJob Type: Full‑time – 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week (Mon‑Fri). Salary: £23,989 base, OTE £40,000 plus generous staff discount scheme.
Responsible to:
Retail Store Manager.
- Work flexibly, undertaking retail and other activities to maximise sales, business efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Retail store management and colleagues.
- Greeting customers who enter the showroom.
- Helping customers understand and develop their requirements and expectations.
- Designing a bespoke product that meets the customer’s requirements and overseeing the process from design to delivery.
- Developing excellent business relationships with customers.
- Creating and submitting quotes to customers.
- Helping customers find the goods and products they are looking for.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of all fixtures, equipment and fabric of the shop premises.
- Responsible for taking cash, card and finance payments.
- Advising on stock counts.
- Promoting special offers in-store.
- Handling complaints or passing them to a manager.
- Assisting the company and colleagues by carrying out such duties away from usual areas of work as may reasonably be required.
- Prepared to carry out arduous work, either physical or mental.
- Willing to take on reasonable additional responsibility as necessary.
- Previous design and retail experience required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Work well with others, demonstrating enthusiasm and helpfulness.
- Take pride in cleanliness, be of smart appearance and have a confident manner.
- Takes ownership for work, accepts direction and works efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Develops job knowledge and skills through personal development.
- Looks after own health and fitness.
