Location: South Devon

Pay: £14.91 - £17.61 per hour (PAYE Advance)

Hours: 45 hours per week + paid overtime

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay) is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver with ADR for a temp-to-perm position with a well‑established client based in South Devon. This role offers consistent daytime hours, palletised deliveries, and a clear pathway to a permanent contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for stability, fair pay, and long‑term employment.

You will be responsible for completing palletised deliveries using a Class 2 HGV vehicle. Due to the nature of the load, a valid ADR qualification is occasionally required. Work is carried out during the day, with regular hours and overtime available once contracted hours are completed.

• Driving a Class 2 (Category
  
  C) HGV

• Completing palletised deliveries safely and efficiently

• Complying with ADR regulations at all times

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting

• Completing delivery paperwork accurately

• Adhering to tachograph, driver hours, and road safety legislation

• Representing the client and Driver Hire professionally

Essential:

• HGV Class 2 (Category
  
  C) licence

• Valid ADR certificate

• Driver CPC qualification

• Digital tachograph card

• Previous HGV driving experience

Desirable:

• Experience with palletised deliveries

• Good knowledge of South Devon routes

• Strong customer service skills

• £14.91 - £17.61 per hour (PAYE Advance)

• Weekly pay

• Overtime paid hourly after 45 hours

• Day shifts only (7:00am start)
