IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat
C) Driver for a full-time temp to perm position with a well-established national business based in Newton Abbot
.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for consistent work, early starts and competitive pay
, with the potential to secure a permanent position.
You’ll be making multi-drop deliveries across the South West as part of a professional driving team, with a minimum of eight hours’ pay guaranteed per shift.
What We Offer- Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift.
- Monday to Friday,
5am starts
. - Tuesday to Saturday working pattern available.

- Complete approximately 8–12 multi-drop deliveries per day across the South West.
- Safely drive and operate a Class 2 (Cat
C) vehicle. - Complete deliveries accurately, safely and on time.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service at delivery locations.
- Follow all road transport legislation and company procedures.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Complete required delivery paperwork and documentation.
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 (Cat
C) entitlement
. - Valid Digital Tachograph Card
. - Previous multi-drop delivery experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of road transport regulations.
- Reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy delivery schedule.
