We are excited that due to the impending retirement of a GP partner, we have a rare opportunity for a salaried GP to join us with a view to Partnership.
We are seeking an experienced, forward thinking GP who is committed to delivering high quality, patient centred services.
The ideal candidate will embrace new models of care, digital technology and be proactive in identifying opportunities for service improvement and clinical innovation.
This post holder will work as part of a committed, hard working team ofGPs, NPs, Nurses, pharmacists and additional PCN ARRS staff.
We are a long established training practice and provide comprehensive primary care to a population of approx 12,000 patients from a purpose-built premises within a supportive and friendly environment.
Main duties of the jobKey Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary medical services to patients
- Undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations
- Manage acute and routine presentations
- Conduct home visits where clinically appropriate
- Review pathology results, clinical correspondence and patient queries
- Authorise repeat prescriptions and medication reviews
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in duty rota and same-day access where applicable
- Support training and supervision of registrars and medical students
- Engage in regular clinical, palliative care, and prescribing meetings
Leadership Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to strategic planning and practice development
- Share responsibility for clinical governance and quality improvement
- Support workforce planning and team development
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive practice culture
Peaseway Medical Centre is an NHS GP Practice offering the highest standards of personal care.
We are a long established Newton Aycliffe practice with experienced, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The Practice area covers Newton Aycliffe and an area with boundaries of Rushyford, Middridge, Heighington, Redworth, Aycliffe Village & Brafferton villages.
