Hitachi Rail in Newton Aycliffe is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Rail) to lead the design and integration of driver cab systems. You will work across bid and project phases, defining integration concepts and ergonomic layouts to optimise the operator workspace.
The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and rail/complex mechanical experience. You will collaborate with suppliers, customers and internal teams to deliver validated, compliant designs on schedule.
