CV Technical are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe who are looking to add an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to their team.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable role within a modern manufacturing environment, working a double-day shift pattern with no permanent nights.
The RoleAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and site equipment running efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Responding to breakdowns and fault finding
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance of production machinery
- Diagnosing faults and getting equipment back up and running
- Working on motors, sensors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Supporting machinery installations and improvements
- Identifying recurring faults and helping improve equipment reliability
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime
Following all relevant Health & Safety procedures
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working across both mechanical and electrical systems.
You should have:- Previous industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance
- A recognised engineering qualification/apprenticeship is desirable
- Experience with PLCs, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous
- A proactive approach to breakdowns and preventative maintenance
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- £45,000 salary
- Double-day shift pattern
