Responsibilities- Ensure equipment and facility systems operate safely and reliably to minimise downtime.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns and optimise equipment performance.
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance to restore operations efficiently.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, or technical issues with minimal disruption.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment efficiency and safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and operational standards and procedures.
- Attend to machine breakdowns and perform planned maintenance activities as scheduled.
Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or ONC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Strong electrical systems knowledge, including motors, circuits, and sensors.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- High safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance skills with a proactive approach to equipment care.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Shift: 3 shift rotation team. 6am-12pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am (Monday - Thursday)
6am - 12pm / 12pm - 6pm / 6pm - Midnight (Friday)
Pay rate: £22.84 p/h
