COMPANY DESCRIPTION , PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:
Our Client is well established and growing engineering/manufacturing business and a UK leader in their field.
This role represents an excellent opportunity for a candidate with powder coating or limited powder coating experience, who is interested in becoming a skilled powder coater with a friendly, and professional Business.
This opportunity exists within a new powder coating plant. The new plant utilises an overhead track system with etch and powder booths along with a box oven. Drying, jigging and waiting areas will be built into the track system to minimise the time between jobs and make it easy for operators to load/unload work.
KEY
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Preparing and jigging small components prior to coating (rubbing, sanding, filling, and masking as appropriate)
* Mixing and applying base coat, finishing coat, and texture coat materials according to specified consistency and viscosity
* Etch priming (wet spray) aluminium parts and extrusions
* Powder coating components
* Operating all paint equipment including paint ovens, spray washer, and paint pump equipment
* Controlling the oven process to achieve desired specifications
* Carry out and record quality checks on finished work
* Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they conform to specifications, using precision measuring instruments as necessary.
* Maintain detailed production documentation and quality records.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
* Proven employment history, preferably within Manufacturing / Engineering
* Highly motivated and reliable team player who can demonstrate attention to detail
* Preferably experienced in working with small components and extruded lengths.
* Preferably familiar with the correct use and maintenance of PPE equipment such as masks, respirators etc.
* It would be advantageous to possess some experience of paint / coatings spray equipment and or mixing and applying wet primers and etches, but training will be given
Details of Package:
39 Hour week. Day
Shift: Monday to Thursday: 6am-3pm and Friday 6am–11am
Overtime payable after 39 Hour week (Time + Half)
Up to £27,378 PA / £13.50 PH (depending on Experience) + Benefits + Overtime (at Time + half)
