A day in the life of a Maintenance Supervisor can look like:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of P.I. & P.I. Foundation owned property in Jasper and Polk Counties and ensure that the work is completed with high quality and to the satisfaction of the agency.
  • Communicate HUD property-related issues regularly with representatives from HUD, IFA, and loan servicer Lancaster Pollard Mortgage Company.
  • Examine all properties on a regular basis to assess the need for repairs and maintenance. This includes the main offices and all HCBS residential sites.
  • Prepare semi-annual report on the physical condition of the properties and make recommendations for renovations and improvements. Obtain approval for all major expenditures prior to committing for services.
  • Be familiar with each city's regulations and zoning laws.
  • Assist with resolving conflicts and complaints.
  • Assist in the hiring, orientation, evaluation, training, and supervision of assigned staff. Responsible for supervision and support of direct reports.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair on company owned or leased vehicles. Ensure that all vehicles have emergency kits, insurance cards, registration and other required equipment for the safety and well-being of persons served and employees.
  • Maintain database of all major assets or components by location including age and projected repair or replacement date. Maintain documentation on warranties, major purchases, appliances, vehicles, etc. (Maintenance Care and Fleetio)
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal governmental regulatory standards including OSHA and HUD
  • Regularly visit all agency locations to ensure that they are safe, sanitary, and properly maintained.
