Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is searching for Welders. As a Welder
, you will use drawings or work orders using semi-automatic and mechanized welding equipment to fabricate and repair wind tower sections. You may also be required to inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment.
Weld Process Certification Training is provided with eligible background and experience.

Job Location: Newton, IA

What you’ll do:
  • Proficiently perform welding on wind tower sections
  • Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
What you’ll need:
  • Experience:

    1 Year Welding in GMAW, FCAW, SAW, or SMAW
  • Technical Skills
  • Read Tape Measure
  • General tool usage including hand tools, torches, and grinders
  • Read, write, and speak proficiently in English
  • Follow directions
  • Effective interpersonal communicator, good listener and open to feedback

Working Conditions:
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
