• Provide professional nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting.
• Contribute to a culture of mutual respect and support within the team.
• Support efforts to facilitate positive outcomes for incarcerated individuals as they prepare for release.

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
• Note:
  
  Include your State of Iowa or compact state license number and expiration date with your application.
• Compact license holders are required to obtain an Iowa license within 60 days.

The hours are currently 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM; different schedules can be discussed with the Supervisor.

• State of Iowa employee benefits package including paid time off, health, dental and vision coverage, IPERS retirement, and option for deferred compensation with state match, flexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care), life insurance, employee assistance programs, and employee discount programs.
• $3,000 sign-on bonus if you are not already a state employee: $1,500 paid on the first paycheck and $1,500 after 6 months. Current state employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency.
