Customer Service Associate – Temporary

Join Walgreens as a Customer Service Associate – Temporary. The role focuses on providing a friendly, efficient, and delightful customer experience at the checkout and front‑end retail area.

$15.00/hr – $17.50/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive, delightful customer experience.
• Register sales at the assigned cash register, provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale and trade‑up or companion items.
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed; collect cash and distribute change.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records; keep counters, shelves, and displays organized.
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies and procedures; assist in stock rotation using FIFO.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, fill items, deliver orders to customers as they arrive at store).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance (clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance).
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• Six months or more of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
