We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Therapy Team at NMC Health. In this hospital-based role, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality therapy services to patients in an Inpatient setting. Your expertise and compassionate care will support recovery and improve quality of life for our patients as they heal.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans
- Providing evidence-based physical therapy services to inpatients and other designated levels of care
- Supervising and guiding supportive staff and therapy students
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Documenting treatments, progress, and care plans in compliance with regulatory standards
Participating in safety procedures, quality improvement activities, and department initiatives - Full Time or PRN options available
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Kansas
- Must have, or immediately obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain it
- Previous inpatient or hospital experience preferred, but not required
- Member of APTA and/or KPTA preferred
- Must know principles and practice of Physical Therapy; be familiar with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics; be familiar with department/organization policies, procedures and regulations; be aware of inter-department/organization communications; be able to apply supervision and management techniques
- Must be able to apply the theory of physical therapy; have the ability and competency to operate equipment of their position; be able to perform technical procedures; be able to speak intelligently and in a professional manner before others; demonstrate supervision and management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
