We are currently seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Outpatient Therapy team. In this vital role, you’ll work directly with patients and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help individuals recover and thrive through high-quality rehabilitation services.
Key responsibilities include:- Administering physical therapy treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Supporting patients in achieving therapy goals and improving physical function.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Collaborating effectively with the rehab team to ensure cohesive patient treatment.
- Ensuring all therapy practices comply with Kansas Physical Therapy Practice Act guidelines.
As a key member of the outpatient therapy team, you will use your knowledge, communication skills, and hands‑on techniques to support patients on their journey to recovery.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
. - Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
- Familiarity with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics.
- Ability to communicate clearly within interdisciplinary teams and apply supervision techniques.
- Competency in performing physical therapy procedures and operating therapy equipment safely.
- Must have a valid Kansas PTA License (or be eligible to obtain licensure as required by law).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or must be obtained immediately upon hire.
