Quality Improvement Support Specialist (Full Time)

, we are proud to deliver award‑winning healthcare through collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. We are currently seeking a Quality Improvement Support Specialist to join our Clinical Outcomes team.
The Quality Improvement Support Specialist provides support to the medical center by assisting with performance improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives. This role supports assigned departmental responsibilities as directed, including compliance with hospital accreditation standards, operation of facility and department‑specific quality assessment activities, and performance improvement programs.
Additional responsibilities include participation in, but are not limited to, CMS Quality Initiative programs and patient survey programs. This position reports to the Executive Director of Clinical Outcomes and is classified as hourly, non‑exempt.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Assisting with performance improvement initiatives across assigned departments
- Supporting regulatory compliance efforts related to accreditation and quality standards
- Participating in facility‑wide and department‑specific quality assessment and performance improvement programs
- Assisting with CMS Quality Initiative reporting and patient survey programs
- Collecting, analyzing, and assisting with reporting quality data to support organizational goals
- Supporting process improvement activities to enhance efficiency and care delivery
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality and safety initiatives
- Performing additional duties related to quality improvement as assigned
Education:
- Associate degree (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing or diploma in nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
Experience:
- Greater than two (2) years of experience practicing clinical nursing
- Hospital experience preferred
Knowledge &
Skills:
- Knowledge of quality management, performance improvement, and process improvement principles preferred
- Proficiency in process improvement and efficiency development
- Familiarity with healthcare quality programs desirable
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Licensure, Registration or Certification:
- Must maintain proof of current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Kansas or Multi‑State licensure
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Specialty certification strongly encouraged within two (2) years of accepting the position
