Full-time Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse in Newton, Kansas, provides specialized cardiac and critical care, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and mentors new graduates. The role ensures exceptional patient outcomes through vigilant monitoring, medication administration, and life-saving interventions.
Key Responsibilities:Monitor, assess, and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments
Operate and interpret cardiac monitoring equipment, telemetry, and other critical care devices
Respond quickly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions
Document patient progress and communicate changes to physicians and the healthcare team
Educate patients and families on cardiac care, recovery plans, and preventive measures
Support new graduates with mentorship and hands‑on guidance in the CCU setting
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted
Open to new graduates
Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
You hold a Kansas RN license with ACLS certification. You can monitor acute cardiac patients and operate telemetry equipment. You enjoy mentoring new graduates in a critical care setting
