About the Opportunity

Pleasant Car Care is looking for experienced automotive technicians at its Newton and Watertown locations. The primary need is a capable B-level technician who can independently handle remove-and-replace (R&R) work, general mechanical repairs, and thorough vehicle inspections. Strong A-level technicians with advanced diagnostic skills are welcome to apply as well.

Both locations are full-service independent repair shops. Pleasant Car Care is an ASE-certified team, a NAPA Auto Care Center, and an AAA-approved repair provider.

What You Will Do
  • Perform automotive R&R and mechanical repair work accurately and efficiently.
  • Repair brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, and other common vehicle systems.
  • Inspect vehicles, document findings, and communicate repair needs clearly to the service team.
  • Use service information and diagnostic equipment to confirm concerns within your skill level.
  • Road-test vehicles and complete quality checks before returning them to customers.
  • For A-level applicants, take on more advanced electrical, drivability, and diagnostic work as appropriate.
What We Are Looking For
  • Hands-on experience as an automotive technician, auto mechanic, or B-level technician in a professional repair shop.
  • Ability to complete common R&R and mechanical repairs with limited supervision.
  • Sound inspection habits, careful workmanship, and a commitment to fixing vehicles right the first time.
  • Comfort using modern shop equipment, scan tools, and repair information.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and a valid driver's license.
  • ASE certifications and advanced diagnostic capability are a plus, not a requirement for B-level applicants.
