Job Summary:

The Program Manager will oversee the end-to-end development and execution of new product programs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, quality standards, and budget constraints. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, vendors, and customers to deliver successful program outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Support quotation process by providing accurate cost estimates and lead times.
  • Determine optimal manufacturing routes considering cost, schedule, safety, and supplier capabilities.
  • Review and analyze customer drawings and specifications to ensure product alignment.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing routes.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of orders within budget.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting schedule and quality.
  • Collaborate with customer service and compliance teams to meet contract requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely Customer End-Item Data Packages.
  • Comply with SOPs and safety regulations.
  • Manage relationships with internal suppliers and external vendors to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to support program development.
  • Conduct vendor facility visits as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain BOMs and routes for accurate cost reporting.
  • Ensure strategic inventory buffers are maintained.
  • Monitor in-process inventory and manage reductions to align with demand.
  • Investigate customer complaints and provide root cause analysis.
  • Implement corrective actions and support quality audits.
  • Support customer service and account managers in managing communications.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality.
  • Partner with Sales and Product Management on new programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program management or engineering roles related to manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and vendor management.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, creating BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAI, CofC).
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams effectively.
