Principal Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex electro‑mechanical issues, documenting root cause analysis and design recommendations.

• Drive electrical engineering design for robust, reliable PCB and cabling solutions.

• Develop and implement technical processes and best practices for electronics development.

• Manage projects including vendor/supplier coordination and directing technician resources.

• Conduct characterization and testing of PCBAs to ensure compliance and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MS or PhD preferred).

• 15+ years of experience in R&D or product development.

• Strong foundation in analog, digital, and electromechanical design.

• Expertise in motor control, mixed‑signal design, and precise sensing applications.

• Proficiency with Altium or similar CAD tools; knowledge of EMC and electrical safety.

• Familiarity with ISO 13485, IEC 60601‑1, and regulatory standards for Class II & III medical devices.

• Advanced analytical skills using MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, and data analysis tools.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• Development of medical devices in a regulated environment.

• Hands‑on experience with electronic design for motor control and mixed‑signal systems.

• Strong technical collaboration and project management capabilities.

Pay and Benefits

Payment within the range will depend on location, experience, and other factors. The role may also offer performance‑based bonuses.
