OverviewPosition:
Per Diem Cardiac Ultrasound Tech (Onsite) at 2014 Washington Street, Newton MA.
Schedule:
Day shift;
Onsite; 0 scheduled weekly hours. Pay range: $35.14 - $52.80 per hour. Grade: 6.
- Perform professional quality cardiac ultrasound procedures including M-MODE, 2D (real time), PW/CW Doppler, Color Flow Imaging, Stress Echocardiography, Transesophageal and Contrast Ultrasound studies, following American Society of Echocardiography guidelines.
- Prepare the patient for examination, collect demographic information, clinical history, and correlate symptoms with findings.
- Recognize abnormal pathology and generate a useful study, creating a permanent record in the digital PACS system and hardcopy.
- Prepare an initial report for the Cardiologist and initiate direct notification for issues requiring immediate attention.
- Participate as a member of the Cardiac Ultrasound team in delivering services to patients and physicians.
- Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Associates Degree — Required
- Registered in Cardiac Ultrasound preferred
- Three to five years of Cardiac ultrasound experience required, with knowledge of M-MODE, 2-D, COLOR FLOW IMAGING and Doppler
- Experience with transesophageal imaging and stress echocardiography preferred
