The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Mass General Brigham provides highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process to deliver both direct and indirect patient care. • Render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
• Individualize care based on assessments and in collaboration with the patient/family.
• Implement clinical and technical aspects of care and physicians’ orders.
• Evaluate patient/family responses to established goals and revise the plan of care.
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Provide safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Advocate for the patient and ensure their rights and responsibilities are communicated.

  * Education:
  
  ** Other Certificate/Diploma in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• *
  * Experience:
  
  ** 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• ** Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  • Current RN License in Massachusetts required
  • ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required within the first year of employment
  • CEN or CCRN preferred
